7th Arts Ambassadors-in-School Scheme Open for Nomination Now!

 

Entering its seventh year, the Arts Ambassadors-in-School Scheme (AAiSS) amassed an alumni of more than 5,500 ambassadors from primary, secondary and special schools who have used their artistic talents and potentials to the full while inviting others to partake in the fun of creating the arts in living out the cooperative spirit of ‘Live in Art, Thrive in Sharing’.

 

Nomination Detail
* Each school is allowed to nominate 2 candidates
* Criteria of nomination:
  Strong interest in art, positive attitude with future arts-related
  career in mind, readiness to serve the society with artistic
  talents
* Student’s artistic expertise:
  Expertise in any art form is welcome

 

Arts Ambassdors will participate a variety of arts activities, including:

Creative Arts Day Camps (core activity)
The Day Camps allow the Arts Ambassadors to gain exposure in arts and to explore their potentials through one-day workshops in a variety of art forms including visual arts, drama, dance, music and photography.

Recognition Ceremony (core activity)
Arts Ambassadors will receive recognition for their efforts at the Recognition Ceremony which will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Arts Ambassadors and artists will take to the stage and perform, and will also make a pledge showing their commitment to the arts led by the officiating guests. 

*Ambassadors will receive a certificate of recognition and scholarship of HKD 500 after completing the core activities.

"Community Arts Maps" Visual Arts Publication Project (New!)
The Project aims to publish the first Hong Kong arts atlas themed by the district community. The Arts Curatorial Team will lead the teachers’ workshops and the teachers will lead the Arts Ambassadors and students to create their own community arts maps.

Summer Workshops

Arts Ambassadors can bring their friends to take part in different workshops to gain exposure in more unique art creations. 

"Meet-the-Artist" Series
Arts Ambassadors will visit different local artists’ studios or performance venues to chat with local artists face to face.

Cultural Leadership Youth Camp

The three-day, two-night Youth Camp will invite local and international arts and cultural practitioners to share with their experiences in cultural management and arts administration through topic studies and case analysis with Arts Ambassadors.
